Daniel Balzora

Daniel Balzora is the Managing Partner of Macellum Private Capital. He has over 20 years of private investing, investment banking, and operating experience across the consumer products/services, tech-enabled business services, retail/multi-unit, and healthcare sectors. Daniel’s career as an investor, board director, and strategic advisor has focused on supporting founder-owned businesses efficiently scale by developing and strengthening strategic plans, human capital, operations, and technology.

Most recently, he was a Principal and Senior Investment Team Member at TZP Group, a $2B+ multi-strategy private investment firm where he led investments in small, founder-owned businesses in the consumer and tech-enabled business services industries. Prior to TZP, he was an investor at Pouschine Cook Capital, a $250M+ private equity firm anchored by the Stanford University Endowment making investments in small, founder-owned businesses in the consumer, industrial, and healthcare industries.

Before private investing, Daniel was an M&A investment banker at Jefferies Group covering e-commerce, media, and software and a financial analyst at General Mills within the supply chain operations groups of the Pillsbury and Small Planet Foods business units.

Daniel is an investor and/or advisor to several early- and mid-stage consumer-facing businesses across the e-commerce, experiential, and healthcare sectors. He has been an alumni interviewer for the Yale Alumni Schools Committee for the past six years and serves as a mentor for BLCK VC’s Mentorship Program. Daniel is also the former Board Chairman of Career Gear, a national non-profit providing social services and professional attire to disadvantaged men seeking employment.

Daniel received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
